Does formoterol interact with any foods or other medications?

Yes, formoterol interacts with many drugs. Tell your doctor about all drugs, vitamins or herbs you take, especially the following:
  • alcohol
  • blood pressure medications
  • antidepressants including monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors
  • oral steroids
  • asthma medications like theophylline and aminophylline
  • heart medications for arrhythmia and heart failure
  • antibiotics like erythromycin, moxifloxacin
  • medications for colds
  • diet pills
  • antipsychotic medications
