Does tiotropium interact with other medications?

Tiotropium (Spiriva HandiHaler) may interact with a number of medications, including:
  • antihistamines
  • eye drops
  • medicines for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • drugs to fight motion sickness
  • drugs for Parkinson's disease
Before starting on tiotropium, tell your doctor about any other prescription and over-the-counter medications, supplements and herbs you're taking, including atropine (Atropen), erythromycin (E.E.S, E-Mycin, Erythrocin) and ipratropium (Atrovent).
