Does theophylline injection interact with other drugs or foods?

There may be restrictions on what you eat or drink before receiving theophylline injection, so check with your doctor. To avoid an interaction, be sure your doctor knows what prescription drugs you are taking as well as any vitamins, supplements and over-the-counter medicines. Do not take the following drugs with theophylline unless you have consulted with your doctor: thiabendazole, St. John's Wort, rifampin, propranolol, fluvoxamine, erythromycin, ephedrine, enoxacin, cimetidine or carbamazepine. Avoid foods and drinks that contain caffeine.
