Who should not use adapalene and benzoyl peroxide?

Adapalene-benzoyl peroxide should not be used by children 12 years of age and younger. This medication is in Category C, meaning that it is not known if it will harm a developing fetus. For this reason, pregnant women should avoid using adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adequate studies have not demonstrated if use of adapalene and benzoyl peroxide affects older persons differently from younger adults.
