What is aminosalicylic acid?

Aminosalicylic acid is an antimycobacterial (or anti-TB) agent that is used in combination with other medications as a last-line agent to treat Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. It is a last choice because of low efficacy. This medication is known by the brand name Paser and is available as granule to be mixed with fluid.
