More common side effects of sodium stibogluconate treatment include:

headaches or dizziness
muscle or joint pain
abdominal pain or nausea
vomiting
loss of appetite

Get medical help immediately if you have symptoms of an allergic reaction, such as hives, difficulty breathing or swelling of your face, tongue or throat. Tell your doctor if you experience any unusual side effects or side effects that bother you or won't go away.
