How does MetroGel interact with other medications or food?

Tell your doctor of all prescription or over-the-counter medicines, supplements, and vitamins that you take. MetroGel may interact with blood thinners such as warfarin (Coumadin), lithium (Eskalith, Lithobid, Lithonate), and cimetidine (Tagamet). Also, be sure to inform your doctor if you have used disulfiram (Antabuse) in the past two weeks. Additionally, you should avoid alcohol while using MetroGel.
