How does alcohol affect tinidazole?

It isn't a good idea to take tinidazole (Tindamax) with alcohol. Don't forget there can be alcohol in over-the-counter medicines. Alcohol combined with tinidazole can cause upset stomach, stomach cramps, headaches, vomiting, sweating and a flushed (red) face. Make sure to avoid alcohol while you're using this medicine and for at least three days after your last dose.
