Are there any risks in taking rifabutin?

Certain medical conditions may increase your risk for complications associated with rifabutin. They include: allergies to rifabutin, kidney problems, blood disorders and pregnancy.
 
Medications that may put you at risk for complications include warfarin, blood thinners, HIV protease inhibitors, voriconazole, oral contraceptives, zidovudine, medications for infections, seizure medications, blood pressure and heart disease medications, digoxin, diabetes medications, methadone or vitamins. Before you take this or any other medication, provide your doctor with a detailed list of all medications you are currently taking.
