Who should not take Reyataz?

Don't take Reyataz if you're allergic to atazanavir or any of the other ingredients in the medication. Your doctor may advise you against taking Reyataz if you have diabetes, a specific heart problem known as AV block, a bleeding disorder, high cholesterol or problems with your liver or kidneys. If you become pregnant while taking Reyataz, inform your doctor immediately; although the FDA has approved used of Reyataz during pregnancy, steps need to be taken to prevent transmission of the HIV virus to your baby.
