What are the side effects of Norvir?

Norvir can cause a variety of side effects. If you have trouble breathing, swelling in the face, lips, tongue or neck, or hives, you may be allergic to the medication and should get immediate medical assistance. Call your doctor if you experience other serious side effects, including:

•low fever, jaundice, decreased appetitelight-colored stools and dark urine;
•upper stomach and back pain, fast heartbeat, nausea and vomiting;
•flu symptoms, fever, chills or cough;
•frequent nosebleeds or bleeding gums;
•intense thirst with increased urination;
•red skin rash with sore throat, fever and headache;
•feeling faint with an irregular or slow heart rate.

Some less serious side effects may include:

•body fat changes (changing shape or moving to a different place) in various parts of the body;
•diarrhea, stomach pain, mild nausea or vomiting;
•mood changes and headache;
•tingling sensation near the mouth.
