What is Crixivan?

Crixivan is the brand name for the medication with the active ingredient indinavir, which is used jointly with other medications to treat the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). While Crixivan is not able to cure HIV, it does have the ability to slow down the growth of HIV, which causes AIDS. Crixivan is considered an antiretroviral medication and belongs to the drug class called protease inhibitors.
