What is Combivir?

Combivir is the brand name of a combination of two prescription drugs, lamivudine and zidovudine, which are antiviral medications used to treat HIV infection. Combined together in a tablet form to create Combivir, they help to prevent HIV from reproducing in the body. Combivir is not a cure for HIV or for AIDS and will not prevent the spreading of HIV or AIDS to other people.
