What are the side effects of nevirapine?

The following side effects are serious and you should seek immediate medical care: sore throat, fever, headaches with severe peeling, blistering and red skin, rash, stomach pain, nausea, dark urine, loss of appetite, clay-colored stools, jaundice, chills, fever, body aches, flu-like symptoms or any signs of new infection. Less serious side effects include the following: vomiting, mild nausea or stomach pain, feeling tired, headaches or changes in the location or shape of body fat, usually in the legs, arms, breasts, waist, neck and face. Allergic reactions that require emergency treatment and include: feeling tired, muscle or joint pain, muscle weakness, bruising, numbness, severe tingling, difficulty breathing, fever, rash, mouth sores, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face. There may be other side effects not listed here.
