What should I tell my pharmacist before using Epivir?

Tell your pharmacist about all drug allergies you may have and mention any medications you use. That includes vitamins, dietary supplements and medicinal herbs. Be sure to tell your pharmacist if you use trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim, Septra). Tell your pharmacist if you have had hepatitis B or kidney disease. If your child needs this drug and has had these illnesses or a disease affecting his pancreas, tell your pharmacist.
