Does Retrovir IV interact with other medications?

Don't drink alcohol while taking Retrovir IV to avoid liver damage. Retrovir IV can interact with many other drugs, including Tylenol and other acetaminophen-containing drugs, stavudine, ribavirin, ritonavir, phenytoin, probenecid, methadone, nelfinavir, ganciclovir, interferon-alfa, fluconazole, valproic acid, dapsone, pyrazinamide, pyrimethamine, vinblastine, vincristine, atovaquone and doxorubicin. Because some of these drugs may be necessary to treat HIV/AIDS (i.e. fluconazole), talk to your healthcare provider about adjusting  doses.
