Does nevirapine interact with other medications or food?

The following drugs may interact with nevirapine: maraviroc, fentanyl, methadone, St. John's Wort, blood thinners, antibiotics, antifungal medications, ergot medications, heart or blood pressure medications, medications to prevent organ transplant rejection, other HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) medicines or seizure medications. Because there may be other drugs that interact with nevirapine, be sure to inform your doctor about any prescription, over-the-counter drugs or nutritional or herbal supplements that you are taking. You should not drink alcohol while taking nevirapine, as it can increase the risk of liver damage.
