As nelfinavir may interact with other medications, you should notify your doctor of all medications (prescription, non-prescription), vitamins, nutritional or herbal supplements you currently take. Specifically, tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medications, which can have serious interactions with nelfinavir: omeprazole; triazolam; amiodarone; St. John's Wort; ergot derivatives; simvastatin; lovastatin; rifampin; midazolam; quinidine; dofetilide; triazolam; eplerenone; headache medications; rifapentine; red yeast rice; ranolazine; pimozide; quetiapine; omeprazole; tacrolimus; atorvastatin; sirolimus; azithromycin; sildenafil; carbamazepine; saquinavir; cyclosporine; ritonavir; delavirdine; rifabutin; indinavir; phenytoin; methadone; phenobarbital; nevirapine; birth control pills; fluticasone; cholesterol medications; seizure medications; other HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) medications; and trazodone. Nelfinavir should be taken with food.
