How should I store raltegravir?

Raltegravir (Isentress), a drug used in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, should be kept in its original container, which should be closed tightly. You should not store it in the bathroom medicine cabinet, because heat and moisture could damage the medicine and make it less effective. As with all medicines, keep raltegravir out of the reach of children. If you are told to stop taking raltegravir, ask your pharmacist about how to safely dispose of your unused medicine.
