Does delavirdine mesylate interact with other drugs or food?

Delavirdine mesylate is the same as delavirdine. Delavirdine can interact with antacids and didanosine. If you take any antacids or didanosine, do not take delavirdine for at least one hour before or after. Anticonvulsants, benzodiazepines, dapsone, ergot derivatives, quinidine, rifabutin, warfarin, clarithromycin, dihydropyridine, calcium channel blockers, fluoxetine, ketoconazole, H2 antagonists, indinavir and saquinavir may interact with delavirdine mesylate. Tell your doctor about all of the medications you are taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements, before starting delavirdine to reduce the risk of having a drug interaction.
