Which medications and foods negatively interact with Limbitrol DS?

Limbitrol DS (chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline) can negatively interact with several medications and foods. You should not use Limbitrol DS if you have used an MAO inhibitor drug within the previous two weeks, including isocarboxazid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, furazolidone or tranylcypromine.

Limbitrol DS can also interact negatively with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) antidepressants, anticoagulants, anticholinergic, antiarrhythmics, azole antifungals and antiseizure medications. Limbitrol DS can decrease the effectiveness of guanethidine, guanfacine and clonidine. Contact your doctor to discuss possible Limbitrol DS interactions with any medications you are taking.

In addition, you should not eat grapefruit, grapefruit juice or foods containing grapefruit while taking Limbitrol DS.
