The most common side effects of buspirone include: dizziness, headaches, excitability, lightheadedness, nausea and dry mouth. Other serious side effects include: allergic reactions, irregular heartbeat, seizures, mood or personality changes and suicidal thoughts or actions. Other rare side effects include: chest pain, confusion, muscle weakness and skin rashes of hives. Consult your doctor if you experience any of these side effects.
