How does Diastat interact with other medications or food?

Diastat interactions may occur with antidepressants, barbiturates, protease inhibitors, monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, narcotics, phenothiazines, valproate and valproic acid. Drinking alcohol or using depressants will add to the effects of Diastat, causing increased drowsiness and dizziness. No known food interactions have been reported.
