Does taking Clonazepam help prevent anxiety disorder?

Clonazepam is a medication that is often used to treat anxiety disorders, but it does not PREVENT anxiety disorders from developing. If you think you have an anxiety disorder, it's important to speak with your doctor. Psychotherapy is highly effective in treating anxiety disorders in most people, and there are other medications (categorized as anti-depressants) that many doctors prefer to prescribe for anxiety problems rather than clonazepam or other benzodiazepines, as there is a potential for dependence on these medications.
