What should I avoid while taking Buspirone?

Patients taking buspirone should avoid driving or operating heavy machinery due to drowsiness. Alcohol consumption is also not recommended while taking this drug. Eating or drinking grapefruit and grapefruit juice could interfere with the effects buspirone. Patients should consult their doctor about other medications, so that they can be monitored. Anyone who has taken MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitors within the last 14 days should not take buspirone.
