Who should not use clobetasol propionate?

People who have rosacea, perioral dermatitis, or allergies to the ingredients in clobetasol propionate or similar medications should not use it. Children and teenagers under 18 should also not use it due to the increased risks of developmental problems. Pregnant and breast-feeding women should discuss with their doctors the risks they would be taking by using clobetasol propionate, as should parents of children under 12. Also be sure to discuss your medical history with your doctor thoroughly before using clobetasol propionate, especially if you suffer from Cushing's syndrome, skin infection, hyperglycemia, diabetes, or open wounds where the drug is needed.
