What should I avoid while using topical steroids?

You should avoid applying other creams or lotions in the same area unless directed to do so by your doctor.  You doctor will also tell you whether you should cover the area after application of the topical steroid.  Avoid using topical steroids for long periods of time (greater than three to four weeks) unless your doctor directs you to do so.
