What should I tell my doctor before using desonide foam?

Before using desonide foam (Verdeso), a topical corticosteroid (meaning it's applied to the skin) for treating dermatitis, tell your doctor if you've ever had a skin infection that didn't heal or if you've ever developed irritation from a steroid medication. Your doctor should also know if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding: It's not known how desonide foam might affect a developing fetus or nursing baby. As with any prescription drug, tell your doctor about any other medications you take, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
