How can I manage the side effects of desonide foam?

You can manage potential side effects of desonide foam (Verdeso) by using it as directed and not using more of it or more often than your doctor prescribes. Desonide foam is a topical medication, meaning it's applied directly to skin, for treating itching and scaling caused by dermatitis. Usually only a thin layer on the affected area is necessary. Do not put desonide foam directly onto your face; dispense a little of it into your hand and then apply it to your face. Don't get it on your lips or in your mouth or vagina. Wash your hands immediately after applying desonide foam. Do not use this medication for longer than four weeks in a row.
