How is Caldecort different from other hydrocortisones?

Caldecort is a brand of hydrocortisone that is used topically to treat skin conditions that cause skin irritation such as redness, inflammation, and/or swelling. Unlike other hydrocortisones, Caldecort is only for external use only. It is also only available in a cream form; whereas, other types of topical hydrocortisones are available in other forms, including ointment, lotion, liquid, gel, spray, foam, suppository, and towelette. Caldecort is also different from certain other hydrocortisones in that it's available in prescription and in over-the-counter strengths. Caldecort is generally not recommended for use on children's skin irritations, including diaper rash, unless prescribed by a child's doctor.
