How does etidocaine interact with other medications and food?

Etidocaine interacts with many other medications. If you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), tricyclic antidepressants, or phenothiazines, you should let your doctor know before being administered etidocaine. People that are taking these medications and are administered etidocaine are at risk of having hypotension and hypertension. Taking ergot-type oxytocic drugs or vasopressor drugs may also cause an interaction. There are not any studies that show the interaction of etidocaine with food.
