Who should not take AndroGel?

Never take AndroGel, a prescription testosterone gel, unless your health care provider prescribes it for you. Do not take AndroGel if you have an allergy to testosterone, soy or any other ingredients in AndroGel. Men with breast or prostate cancer should not take AndroGel. Men with severe heart, liver or kidney disease should use testosterone with caution. Women should not take this drug. In fact, women and children should avoid touching the area of the skin where a man has applied AndroGel, because their skin may absorb the drug.
