Striant may increase the risk for side effects from carbamazepine or macrolide antibiotics (like erythromycin and clarithromycin). Using Striant with oral anticoagulants, such as warfarin, may increase the risk of bleeding. Insulin or oral diabetes medications may also be affected by Striant. The doctor who prescribes Striant should know about all of the other medications being taken, especially glipizide, glyburide, repaglinide, rosiglitazone, pioglitazone, propranolol or any corticosteroid medications.
