You should not take this medication if you have had an allergic reaction to histrelin acetate it to or any of its ingredients.

Children under the age of two should not get a histrelin acetate subcutaneous implant.

Women who are pregnant or who are planning pregnancy should avoid this drug as it is known to harm unborn babies. Do not get a histrelin acetate subcutaneous implant if you are breastfeeding, as it passes into breast milk.
