Can Lortab interact with other medications or foods?

Lortab (hydrocodone and acetaminophen), a prescription medicine to treat moderate to moderately severe pain, is not known to interact with any foods, but it's important that you not drink alcohol while taking it. Lortab can interact with a number of other medications. Examples of drugs that can interact with Lortab, causing potentially serious problems, include:
  • certain antidepressants
  • anti-anxiety medications
  • anti-psychotic medications
  • antihistamines
  • motion sickness drugs
Before you start taking Lortab, be sure to tell your doctor about all your other prescription and over-the-counter medicines, as well as any supplements or vitamins that you take. In some cases your doctor may need to adjust the dose of Lortab, the other remedy, or both to lower your risk for side effects.
