What are the side effects of Canasa?

Canasa can cause a variety of side effects. If you have trouble breathing, swelling in the neck, face, lips, tongue, develop a rash or hives, you may be allergic to the medication and should get immediate medical assistance. Call 911 for labored breathing, chest pain or swelling of the mouth, tongue, lips or throat. Call your doctor or go to the emergency room for hives, itching or a rash. Call your doctor right away if you experience other serious side effects, such as:

  • fever
  • headaches
  • bloody diarrhea
  • stomach cramps
  • stomach pain
  • chest pain
  • trouble breathing
  • wheezing
  • painful or difficult urination
  • jaundice
  • fatigue
  • weakness

Call your doctor if side effects, such as nausea, constipation, fatigue, vomiting, rectal pain, dizziness, headache, gas, stomach pain or stomach cramps, become frequent.
