What are the side effects of hydrocodone?

Common side effects of hydrocodone combination drugs include: vomiting, nausea, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadedness, anxiety, fuzzy thinking, unusually sad or happy mood, difficulty urinating, dry throat, itching, rash, narrowing of the pupils, blurred vision or ringing in the ears. Call your doctor right away if you experience any of the serious side effects: fainting; fear, confusion or unusual thoughts or behavior; urinary problems; symptoms of liver damage including jaundice, nausea, abdominal pain, lowered appetite, itching, darkening of urine or pale stools. Call 911 for a slow heartbeat, shallow breathing or convulsions.
