Is Midol PMS safe for long-term use?

Midol PMS is intended to relieve menstrual symptoms as they occur throughout the menstrual cycle, and can be safely taken before and during your period. You should contact your doctor if symptoms do not go away after 10 days, as that could indicate a more serious condition. While taking Midol PMS, it is important to monitor your acetaminophen intake, as too much acetaminophen over time can damage your liver. (Midol PMS contains 500 milligrams --mg -- of acetaminophen; recommended daily dosage should not exceed 4000 mg.) You should also be sure to monitor your alcohol consumption if you are a repeat or long-term user of Midol PMS.
