Can I use Xodol if I am breastfeeding?

You should not take the prescription pain medication Xodol (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) if you are breastfeeding. Acetaminophen can pass into breast milk, although doctors are not sure what, if any, effect it might have on a nursing infant. Doctors are not certain if hydrocodone, a narcotic analgesic, passes into breast milk, but it might harm a nursing infant if it does.
