What are the side effects of Anadrol-50?

Anadrol-50 (oxymetholone) can cause a variety of side effects, some of which may be serious. You should seek emergency medical attention or talk to your doctor right away if you experience any of the following side effects while taking Anadrol-50: symptoms of an allergic reaction, including breathing difficulty, hives, a rash, itching and swelling of your face, lips, tongue or throat; nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; stomach pain; loss of appetite; urination problems; changes in your skin color; yellowing of your eyes or skin; swelling due to water retention; rapid weight gain; and increased or decreased libido. Side effects, specifically in women, include: signs that you are developing male characteristics; acne; irregular menstrual periods; a hoarse or deep voice; unusual hair growth, such as on your face or chest; baldness; changes in your sex drive; or an enlarged clitoris. Side effects, specifically in men, include: increased or ongoing erections; reduced testicular function, including reduced semen production; impotence; inflamed scrotum; and irritation of the bladder. Other potential side effects may be bothersome, but less likely to be serious. They include: restlessness; anxiety; an inability to fall asleep or stay asleep; and in men, swelling of the breasts. Talk to your doctor if these side effects are severe or long-lasting.
