When should I call my doctor while taking anabolic steroids?

Call your doctor if you experience side effects when taking anabolic steroids. Your doctor will monitor your progress regularly. He or she will examine you for any side effects. If your child is taking the steroids, the doctor will take X-rays every six months to measure your child's bone growth, because steroids can slow or stop a child's bone growth. If you have diabetes, your doctor will track your blood sugar level, because steroids can alter blood sugar.
