Can transient global amnesia be prevented?

Preventing transient global amnesia is difficult because the causes are unknown. Physicians recommend avoiding whatever activity triggered the memory loss. Some doctors recommend taking aspirin daily to increase blood flow. Most of those who experience transient global amnesia never have a recurrence, however.
