Can amnesia be prevented?

Amnesia is most often the result of some type of brain injury. Reducing your risk of damage to your brain will help to prevent the possibility of amnesia. Wear protective head gear when engaging in activities like biking or skating, use car safety belts, drink alcohol in moderation, and seek medical attention if you suspect any condition that will injure the brain like a stroke or aneurysm. Some doctors suggest that aspirin will increase blood flow and improve circulation. Because some cases of amnesia are a result of malnutrition, stress, or using such drugs as lithium. Maintaining a balanced lifestyle may be helpful.
