Amblyopia is worsened vision in one eye because of a developmental issue between the eye and brain. A variety of things may cause this issue and the cause affects how it can be treated. When amblyopia, or lazy eye, is caused because the individual is nearsighted, farsighted, or has astigmatism, glasses or contact lenses can correct the problem.
