Can amblyopia cure itself with time?

A lazy eye, or an eye suffering from amblyopia, cannot recover on its own. In fact, if not treated early, the condition can lead to permanent vision loss in the affected eye. It's best to have a child's vision tested regularly to monitor for risks of amblyopia development.
