Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) offers renewed hope for health and healing to individuals. Societal attitudes regarding complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) are changing rapidly. Over 125 medical schools including Harvard, Cornell Medical College, Duke University, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Tufts University, and the  University of California at San Francisco, now offer CAM to their patients. In addition, a growing number of medical doctors are incorporating CAM into their practice by referring their patients to chiropractors, acupuncturists or other CAM practitioners.
