Can ProAir HFA be used to treat hyperkalemia?

No. However, albuterol, the active ingredient in ProAir HFA, administered by nebulization, may be helpful for emergency treatment of hyperkalemia (high blood levels of potassium), until another medical procedure such as dialysis is available.
