Yes, Proventil (albuterol) HFA may cause allergic reaction. It may interact with other medications, including prescription and over-the-counter. Certain medical conditions, such as high blood pressure or heart disease, diabetes, seizure disorders or an overactive thyroid, may become worse if you take Proventil HFA. It is not considered safe for pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers.
