Why should women have a strong support network as they age?

Having a strong network of supportive family and friends as women age not only boosts morale but the immune system as well. Ongoing interactions with other people can help caregivers in particular feel less isolated and avoid feelings of abandonment. Just having someone to listen to their anguish can be healing for women.
