Radiation therapy can treat adrenal gland disorders by removing tumors that are not accessible to surgery. Radiation therapy may be used to treat cancerous tumors of the adrenal glands. Often, however, radiation therapy is used to reduce the size of tumors that have appeared where a surgeon cannot remove them.
